Video 1
Today’s interesting video is from Antilou’s youtube channel
This is a corretion type video where the artist goes over how sometimes a certain element can be drawn well but still lack tension, or how certain things should be exaggerated more in order to more radically affect the sillouette. Additionally, he mentions how sometimes poses are drawn in a way that is too reserved and lack charm, like the legs in this artwork. Achieving elegance and attractiveness at the same time is possible and you shouldn’t be afraid of trying to make things look appealing.
Lastly, he also talks about the importance of expressing the emotion with well drawn hands. Which is a more obvious point but it is always important to remember it.
Instead of screenshotting and describing the video point by point, I want to give you a reason to watch it. So, for the next session, I’ll be going over some of my old sketches and fixing them based on my learnings from the video. Before reading the next session, you should watch the video
